  About Lyon Village
One of Arlington's Finest Neighborhoods

"Lyon Village" is an old neighborhood in Arlington that is knows for its tree-lined streets, mix of eclectic old homes (many were built in the 1920s and 1930s), and friendly neighbors. Lyon Village sits between Lee Highway (North) Wilson Boulevard (South) Veitch Street (East) and Kirkwood Road (West) and is considered to be part of "Clarendon," one of Arlington's fastest-growing restaurant and retail areas.

Lyon Village is just one block from the Courthouse and Clarendon metro stations. Thus, many residents take the metro to work and to tourist attractions in Washington, D.C. Several major arterials are just a few blocks from Lyon Village: I-395, George Washington Parkway, and I-66.

Lyon Village is also known for civic activism. Over the years, a legion of community leaders, elected officials, and good ideas have emanated from Lyon Village. These characteristics make Lyon Village "a great place to live" as their 70th anniversary logo proudly states.
